From February 16, people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits will benefit from streamlined travel. New, single ticket travel is being provided jointly by a mainland shipping corporation and a Taiwan airlines.
Xiamen Shipping Corporation and Taiwan Lirong Air Corporation introduced coordinated single ticket services on Thursday.
The shipping company will provide travel between Xiamen, on the Chinese mainland, and Jinmen in Taiwan. The airline will then take passengers from Jinmen to major cities across Taiwan.
Lirong Air officials say advance booking for the new tickets shows the route will be very popular. The company plans to invest more in cross-straits travel. |
